Wow! You wood vendors make me glad to be in luthiery! I never "wood've" been able buy so much wood if it weren't for all the wonderful discounts and great advice at/due to ASIA. Thanks again to all! I'm looking forward to buying all my wood right here. Now a word regarding marketing... Wood vendor friends, please let us know when you're gonna run the "EMPLOYEE DISCOUNT" pricing like all the auto dealers are pushing (I assume that they are now at "Rock bottom prices"?) I also believe that they are taking SUCH good care of thier employees, that this MUST be the ABSOLUTE lowest price of the day! Hmm, now that I think about it, maybe we can get Dave to instigate, I mean investigate this "Employee discount" deal.... Whadda ya say Dave? :) Man I love this place!! ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Well, we bought a new Saturn Vue two weeks ago, and normally, you don't see much discounting on those things, because Saturn has a "the price is the price" sales method. Well, we got the "employee pricing", plus there were two promotional discounts overlapping which we were able to get as well. In fact, at the time of sale, we got the E.D., and one promotional discount, and a week later we were given another $800 off the price because a new discount overlapped. We weren't complaining... |

I believe everything I see on T.V. and especially what is written in the Newspapers. Are you guys trying to tell me something? By the way, never buy a car that is on sale or discounted in anyway...we all know that if it costs more it IS better! I always pay as much as possible. ![]() |

Hey, how about some free undercoating on all the tonewood purchased here? I would think that would keep it good and dry for a long time. Also, I'd like the extra warranty with the tonewood just in case it oxidizes or cracks, and while you're at it, please scotch-guard the wood so I don't get any lacquer stains on it, thanks! ![]() ![]() Boy are we lucky tonewood dealers don't sell like the car dealers! So Don. Sounds like you got a good deal. Or at least spent less money. (or got more hush money, mark-down from the mark up, or whatever they call it) ![]() Are you still selling any wood. (Tim gets up to bat first on this one...) I'd be interested in trading/buying sometime shortly. I'm about to be wealthy again. ![]() I'll be looking for some redwood, (just like the set I SHOULD have bought from you at ASIA..) carpathian bracwood, and some exotic Mexican crackwood and Macassar ebony to save for later. Maybe some cocobolo bindings (I've not seen those lately..) And neck woods. I have other stuff, but no neck wood! Yikes, how does one build a guitar without neck wood?!? Anyhow, I rejoice for your (wife's) new car! Hope it serves you well |

Thanks Terry, I'm currently trying to decide exactly how many sets of the BRW to sell. Probably 2, maybe more. Not sure. I have some cocobolo sets I'll be selling too, and one set of Mexican Crackwood, which you have first right of refusal on, since we discussed it at ASIA. I hear a rumor that Steve at Colonial is getting in a Boatload of that Crackwood at the end of the month, and may have some killer stuff. From what I hear, his wood stash rivals the US Government's stash of stuff as seen at the end of Indiana Jones' Raiders of the Lost Ark. Is that so Steve? ![]() |

Hopefully I'll continue the trend. Bought my 1st house from the owner too. Didn't have great rappor or success with any of the 4-5 realtors. Advice well taken. You strike me as a very marketing savvy kind-o-guy too. |

Let me just say this... the TRUTH shall never get in the way of a good PITCH. |
